About the Owners

Welcome to our cozy retreat in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains! We are Deb and Bill from Northwest Ohio. Our love affair with Gatlinburg began in 1988 when we first visited with our three young sons. During that memorable trip, we explored the wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, including Cades Cove, Newfound Gap,  Kuwohi (Clingmans Dome), and even ventured to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

Although life kept us busy, the mountains never left our hearts. In the fall of 2016, we finally returned, and it felt like coming home. Since then, we've made it a tradition to visit at least once a year, alternating between the vibrant colors of spring and the breathtaking hues of fall. Each trip deepens our connection to this beautiful area as we continue to explore and photograph its natural splendor.

Photography has become a significant part of our journeys. Capturing the ever-changing landscapes, the delicate wildflowers, and the majestic wildlife has been a source of joy and inspiration for us. We love sharing these moments through our photos, and we hope they inspire you to discover the beauty of the Smokies for yourself. In October 2024, we completed building our dream home here, designed to be a perfect blend of comfort and nature. We poured our hearts into every detail, ensuring it would be a welcoming haven for all who visit. We hope our home provides you with the same sense of peace and adventure that we cherish so much.

For us, being in the mountains means embracing a different pace of life. We call it "Mountain Time"—a rhythm where the rush of the outside world fades away, and every moment stretches with meaning. Here, time doesn’t tick—it tiptoes. Days meander, hours linger, and minutes pause to admire the view. It’s a place where nature whispers, “slow down,” and you finally listen. At Trillium Mountain, time slows to a gentle drift, inviting you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty, wonder, and tranquility of the wild.

Footage is not monitored live and is only reviewed in the event of a safety concern or property issue.
